We moved last week (more on that later) and about a week before we moved we thought, "how cool would it be to get Jaden potty trained before we moved? so any accidents he had would happen in the old house, and not on our brand new carpet!" a great idea? yes. realistic?
probably not. we thought. Here we are about 2 weeks later, and he is completely potty trained! Here he is in his AWESOME big boy underwear. Loving every minute of it.

We get to go to the potty everywhere we go, it is really quite fun for me! ;) But really it is awesome. We are so dang proud of him!! He loves the praise, and loves the sense of accomplishment!
The next big idea also came along with moving. Jaden has slept in our room pretty much his entire life. Don't ask why. We were paranoid parents, and somehow thought that would be a better idea. Then it just became convenient and we couldn't bare the thought of making our baby sleep in a room all by himself. Call us crazy. Because we are. Anyway, we thought maybe moving into a new home would make the idea of getting him in his own room easier, for us, and for him. We made his room super cool, and covered in his fun toys, and themed with Lightning McQueen all over his room! AWESOME! So, we tried it out the first night of living here... and here is what we got:

He slept through the whole night in his own bed, in his own room. We were SO PROUD OF HIM!! Such a big/brave boy. The next couple nights were a little harder, he was confused why he wasn't with us. But he's figured it out now, and I think he even loves it! He loves being in his room. Every morning when he wakes up he grabs books off his bookshelf (right next to his bed) and sits there and reads to himself for about an hour before we come in and get him. It is so sweet, and melts my heart.
He is growing up. I think I'm ready for it, but it is totally weirding me out to look at this boy that used to be my baby!

That is AWESOME! Jaden we are so proud of you!!!!!! By the way I love the fireplace/catwalk picture! He could be in a hanes commercial. I have a feeling Kennedy is going to insist on being trained in the near future. Ok maybe a year and 1/2 from now.

Jaden, you are SUCH a big boy!! And your bed is super cool! Way to go with potty training dude, that is no easy task. We miss you!!
