They are so sweet together. Jaden just wants to touch and hold and kiss her all the time. And Kennedy could just watch him forever. It is SO fun to watch them together.









We went to the Zoo with Cali and Raegan today. Jaden had so much fun, he absolutely loved hanging out with Cali, I think she made him feel like he was a big kid. They were pretty sweet together... and Kennedy slept through it all!






Usually these lions stick to themselves, we have never seen them up close. This lioness came right up to the window to check them out, Jade thought that was pretty neat!







A little bit of Irony...

We recently got Kennedy this rainforest mobile which she just loves to watch! Well, Jaden... the boy who always hated this very crib, now cannot get enough of it! Everytime we go in the room Jaden BEGS to "cuddle" with Kennedy in her crib. They just lay there together for as long as I let them. If only we had this mobile 2 yrs ago!!!

So crazy!! Everyone has always told us he looks so much like both of us!

Well, Cam and I look pretty similar anyway, so I guess it's not that big of a suprise! If you haven't done this yet you should, it's kinda fun!

I'm Proud to be an American

I did it! After ten and a half years of living in the United States, I can now proudly say I'm part of this wonderful country. I am an American Citizen!

We went to San Antonio for the past couple days. On Thursday we went to the Scottish Rite Museum, downtown San Antonio, and sat through a ceremony where I took my oath to become a US citizen, there was a special video message from President George W Bush, and a neat ceremony prepared for me, and the 388 other people receiving their citizenship. I was pretty emotional as we did the Pledge of Allegiance, and listened to the band play the national anthem.

It was a long day for Kennedy and Jaden, and a quite a bit stressful for Cameron and I to try to handle them... so we didn't end up getting any pictures. Fortunately Kennedy and I made the major San Antonio newspaper!!! This is the picture... you can click on this link to see the entire article if you want!

It is such a blessing to be a citizen of this country. There are so many rights that have opened up to me, and I get to vote for the next US President this year! I can officially say I am Proud to be an AMERICAN!!!!!

Jaden's Birthday

We celebrated Jaden's Birthday on Saturday, since Cameron was gone most of the day yesterday. It was a whole special day for Jaden. We woke up and he got to watch little einsteins while mommy and daddy got ready. He had his favorite lunch, (sponge bob mac& cheese) then we had a delicious chocolate, little einsteins birthday cake. (he was more excited about the figures and the icing than the actual cake!) Then he opened his presents, which were annie and quincy, little einsteins characters (which we hasn't stopped playing with since!) He got his big present earlier in the week, it was an outdoor playset thing with a slide. Grandma and Grandpa Heyland got him a season pass to the Zoo, so we took him to the zoo to see the animals! We came home, played in the sprinkler outside and ate a delicious dinner. We think he had a pretty good day, as you can probably tell by the pictures.

Jaden is 2!!! (tomorrow)

It is so hard to believe that my baby boy turns two tomorrow! It seems like he was born just yesterday, and at the same time it seems like he has been a part of our lives forever! I can't imagine life without my sweet, hilarious Jaden.

His favorite things right now are little einsteins, elmo, cars, playing outside, and his baby sister Kennedy.

Jaden always has a drink. If you ask him if he wants milk or juice, he says juice, if you ask if he wants juice or milk he says milk. It is always the second option that he chooses.

He has the best sense of humor, he laughs at everything, and can make you laugh at everything. He has a very sensitive heart. Anytime I am having a bad day, or stressed, or sad, he can always sense it, and wants to make me happy. He always wants to give everyone kisses and loves cuddles on the couch!

We are so blessed to have him in our family, and love him more than words can tell.

Kennedy has become such a smiley little girl. It just brightens our day every time she smiles at us! Well, everytime I get the camera out she gets all serious, I have tried SO many times. Here is a video of her anyway. No smiles today, but I will get it soon!

Jason Castro next American Idol

Cameron and I are big American Idol fans. Pretty sure Jason Castro is going to win it all. He is so so good! This was our favorite performance of his. We also really like David Archeletta, (but he probably won't make it too huge), and David Cook is pretty good (but no Chris Daughtry!) We CAN'T STAND Brooke White, too self righteous, and has fake emotions! SO happy to see her in the bottom 3 last week! Hope she leaves next!

SUMMER IS HERE!!

We had a beautiful weekend here in Hewitt, Texas!! The temperature got into the 80's so we got Jaden's sprinkler out, and spent the afternoon in the sun!

Kennedy is one month old now! She is getting so big! She has started to smile for us, and she is absolutely beautiful!

Jaden Funnies and Sweet Sweet Kennedy

Ok, I am starting to get the hang of being the mom of two kids. So the emotions are slowing down a little bit! I am figuring out how to give both kids the attention they need when they need it! Cameron has been doing moot court, which is taking up a lot more of his time than usual, but that is hopefully coming close to an end! So to say the least life is good around here. I feel so blessed to have such a beautiful and loving family!

Jaden is learning new words everyday, it is really pretty funny to hear his first attempts at certain words! His word for "snack" is "nack". The other night in the middle of a little bit of a meltdown, I had Kennedy crying in my arms and Jaden was out of control jumping on the couch. Jaden fell of the couch straight down on his head, he started bawling and I could have sworn he had broken his neck! I hurried and put Kennedy down and ran over to him, (trying not to freak out) asking him if he was okay, and was his neck okay? As soon as I said neck he stopped crying looked right at me and said "nack?" Realizing he thought I said snack we hurried and got a snack and life was good again!

Jaden's favorite thing to say is "oh no!!"

Sweet Sweet Kennedy just gets more cute everyday! We all love her SO much! She is working really hard on her neck muscles, she is getting very strong! She is starting to sleep much better, I am getting a four hour stretch every night now! It's amazing! I have so much fun dressing her up in little girly clothes and accessories! She is my little doll!
