"lasts" with the Roggia and Askeroth families

Have I mentioned before how much we are going to miss these 2 families? We had our last pool day together this week, it was fun, but a really weird feeling to know that they are leaving.

Rome and Sis kissing... seriously every time we hang out they kiss at least 2 or 3 times, without us prompting it. They just love each other! :)
can't do the pool without 6323467 ice pops... each.

We are going to miss these days!
we stayed a little bit longer after everyone left because Jade just wasn't quite done swimming. He is trying so hard to be brave and swim under the water (because Cali does, and Cali is obviously super cool) but this is as close as he gets to going under water... swimming with the side of his head in the water.... he makes me laugh, I love him so much!

then our very last Zoo day together. we tried to go right when it opened so it wouldn't be too hot, but we stayed way to long, and it got hot anyway.

Jade doing what he does best... drinking juice...
best friends.

poor Sis fell down and hurt her nose and her forehead. :( she is so tough though, you can see how bad she looks and she only cried for like a second, and then got mad cuz I wouldn't put her down. As soon as I did she was happy. Crazy girl!
Another group shot. At the end, hot and sweaty!

stole lots of these pics from Mel

a boy and his dog.

I walked by Jaden's room the other day and this is what I saw. They were just hanging out on his bed, watching diego. He loves his puppy!

5 years.

us. 5 years ago yesterday.

Every single day gets better. Every single day I fall more in love with him.
Every single day I become more and more happy because I married this man.

It's been 5 years now. Easily the best 5 years of my life.

Happy Anniversary Baby! I love you!

us. now.

Ah, the webcam on my iMac NEVER gets old! Laughing my head off over these!

Today, July 23rd

started out fun... ended up frustrating.

*slept in. again. :)

*went to our cute cute friend Missy's "Puppy" birthday party

*made "pup"peroni pizza, wore cute puppy ears, ate some yummy "pup"cakes (pictures coming)

*got some things done while Sis took a late nap and Jade watched Diego

*went back over to Mich's house, brought Zoey this time, and did a little "puppy" socializing. Ever since the German Shepard attack Zoey is pretty much a big baby around other pups

*went to the drive in theater as a family

*got there early to put the back seats down, and set up blankets and pillows in the back

*ate dinner, laid around, and laughed until the movie started

*watched like maybe a minute of Harry Potter, in between wrestling the kids... realized after being there an hour, and neither of seeing any of the movie, it wasn't working out, and headed home

*felt frustrated.

*dreamed about a day when we can actually go see movies together again, and do things for ourselves.

today, anniversary.

It's so funny how much having kids change you! Our first anniversary, Cam and I went to Alaska for a couple hours and had dinner, and flew home. Just because we could. Since then, life has been a little more focused on babies. So this year we went to San Antonio for our anniversary, to where? Sea World. Awesome. Actually it was awesome.

Started out our day with flipping 4 HOURS OF SLEEP!! What the what? We reserved a room with a "guaranteed" king bed. Got there, and had two miniature double beds. UGH! We were too excited to be there, and too optimistic to say anything, and just went on with our night. Oh, and did I mention that night we took advantage of our "elite status" concierge lounge, with free drinks, cookies, cakes and such... caffeinated drinks or water... hmm, both sound great thanks! Well, neither of us have been drinking caffeine for the last 6 months-ish. And we were WIRED. and somehow Jaden was wired too. Sis stayed up late, but went to bed at 10pm. But Jade was up with us till midnight-30!! He was being so funny though. It was like we were a bunch of young kids staying up too late laughing about NOTHING... not just laughing. DYING laughing.

He finally fell asleep, and me and Cam on our miniature double bed together were SO uncomfy SO wired and SO up until 4am!!! Then conveniently our window covers were broken and wouldn't close all the way, and the sun woke us up at 8am.

Okay, so we were up... tired, but ready to start our day. Made the quick drive over to Sea World, with Jaden talking about Shamu all the way there.

Sea World never gets old to me. Somehow the Believe show makes my eyes well up every time. If I was alone I'm pretty sure I'd sit there and bawl. What the heck? So weird. Anyway, Jaden kept cheering "Yay Shamu!!" Every time people started clapping. It was sweet. This was the first time we have taken Sis since she has been old enough to realize what was going on. She was absolutely THRILLED!!

It was super hot, like 107 degrees hot, you can tell in the pictures how SUPER sweaty we are.

We had fun together though. It was an awesome, tiring day. We drove home, completely exhausted. Had some yummy lunchables in the car...

And the kids were in bed by 7pm. And I'll be there as soon as I'm done here.

Happy Anniversary to us. I love my hubby. I love these past 5 years. Couldn't be happier with my life. :)

yesterday, July 21st

*had VIVID dreams and memories of all of our Hawaii vacations together... woke up craving Hawaii, craving Europe, craving ANY TRAVEL!!!

*rolled over and got Cam craving it too & decided to settle on San Antonio

*set up the kennel visit for Zoey, & booked our favorite Marriott Hotel

*got lunch ready and kissed my kids and hubs goodbye and headed to my noon bridal session

*spent 2 hours with Kat, her mom (Debbie), and her future MIL (Nancy) laughed, gossiped, and was blown away by their sweetness and got some AWESOME images

*came home, exhausted, but still needing a quick Vacay! Packed. Got snacks, drinks, diapers, wipes, DVD player, Diego DVD's, books, etc. etc. to keep the kids entertained for the 3 hour drive

*LOVED the drive down with my hubby, talked about life, goals, struggles, hates, loves, and our last 5 years... just enjoyed being together

*checked into our hotel on the Riverwalk
*took the kids and walked around the San Antonio Riverwalk... enjoyed the sights, smells, people, food, etc.

PERFECT day.

Today, Friday, July 17th

-watched (completely out of it) Cam get up at 5am to study, and later head off to his PC final.

-had a slow start morning worrying about my poor hubby

-practiced letters with Jade on his Little Einstein's lap top
-Cam got home from his 4 hour final and we ate lunch together

-all 4 of us took naps (can't remember the last time that happened)

-watched Jade and Cam "go to school" together

-went over to Em's house and had a little play date.
(bad pictures from my iPhone)
-met Cali's famous hermit crabby's! Kennedy was absolutely obsessed
-made pizzas together as a family, Cam and Jaden were in pizza topping heaven

-went for a family walk through our favorite corn field

------------------------

I really want to get better at doing this more often. I got the idea from my friend Steph of totally journaling each (or at least some) days. This is a crazy time in our lives, but there are still so many little things I want to remember, good and bad!

yet another backyard pool party!!

I didn't take pictures AGAIN these are from Mel.

This has been the summer of Ice Pops. We are completely obsessed with them. They only have 20 calories too,

so we eat like a million! The kids love them, and love (fighting over) choosing which color they want!

Kennedy steeling some grapes from Reagy....

mmmmm... yummers!!

so dramatic

it got way too hot, so we came inside and sis got to show her friends all her toys. Super fun!

surprise!!!!

we had a surprise Pre-Baby Shower for Mich at Roadhouse last week. I love getting together with these girls. I love every minute of it! We have so much fun, and laugh and laugh and laugh ALL night... too late. much too late. every time. so worth it though. :)

it got better! :)

Yep, my day got much better. I love love love the pool, love my friends, love my babies, love putting it all together!

These are pictures from another pool day. This one stolen from Mel...

and these are from another day... we're pretty much there everyday.

Today.

Today I woke up feeling refreshed and ready to conquer the day.

Today I got myself and the kids fed and ready.

Today I took the kids to story time at the library.

Today story time was over-crowded and we couldn't get in so we had to watch from outside the room through the window.

Today my kids freaked out at story time.

Today I decided to take my kids to Target to get a few little toys to make up for story time gone bad.

Today I chose the wrong line at Target and waited WAY too long.

Today Jaden started throwing a fit screaming and crying in the line at Target. Which freaked Kennedy out, so she did the same.

Today a sweet lady waiting in line behind us tried to help with my kids, and told me it's okay... yes even Mom's need to be told it's okay sometimes.

Today I practically fell into the arms of said sweet lady and started bawling... in line. at Target.

Today all three of us walked out of Target. Crying.

Today we cried all most all the way home.

Today will get better, I am hoping. We had lunch and now the kids are napping/quiet timing - while I sit at my computer and unwind.

Today we will go to the pool with friends, and have a WONDERFUL afternoon. I'm hoping.

sometimes you just have to roll with it.

Sometimes I feel like I'm too hard on my kids, I get frustrated over pointless things, and I've decided sometimes you just have to roll with it. Like when we took Zoey out to go potty the other night and the kids both got into the pool with their clothes on... so I just took their clothes off and let them swim nakey-bum... and it made for some pretty cute pics of them having a blast together! So it was all worth it!

I love her face in this one!
and his in this one

i love summer evenings!
