with halloween coming, i've been getting the house a tiny bit decorated. it's fun because the kids are so excited about it. except scaries. because sissy is absolutely terrified. i've tried to stay away from most scary things, but decided to give this little guy a try...

we got it at target, and all through the store jade was attacking her with it. he thinks it is completely hilarious to freak her out, and he does it often.

it took an entire day of her screaming at the top of her lungs, bawling and running for her life, until we finally convinced her it was just plastic, and she didn't have to be afraid of it.

october is here!!

for some reason i have been SO excited for halloween this year!

so when we got a package filled with these little goodies at our door...

we were really excited!!

field trip to the museum.

jade had a field trip to the museum in Canyon last week. parents were invited to come, and so i went back and forth on whether i should go or not, i want to give him space, but at the same time, i felt like it would be a good chance to see him with his teachers and his friends.

we ended up getting there, and hearing miss nancy telling another mom she would love to have her come, and they love to have parents there, so me & sis ended up joining.

sis kept up with the class, following in a line during the tour, and sitting by jade and listening carefully. she loved it. so did jade. we got to see dinosaur bones, which he loved, and he thought it was fun to have me & sis along.

at one point during the tour i caught sissy standing at the front of the line, holding hands with one of the little girls in the class.

we followed them back to the school, and had dinosaur cookies (they were learning about the letter "d")

our backyard.

we are all moved in, and getting settled in our new house. there are SO many things i love about the house.

one of the things i missed the most while living in our apartment was having a backyard. it has been A-MAZ-ING being able to run and play outside. every night after dinner we head out to the backyard, and play football and/or soccer.

tri county fair.

we hit up the tri county fair a couple weeks ago. it was pretty much a bust. we were all pretty sick (and still are, ick) so that didn't help. we also got there before the rides opened... so that basically left the petting zoo... and it was kinda lame.

they did have a camel you could ride... we would have let the kids do it... but we had no cash, and the fair's atm was broken...

so it was kind of a bust... but it did remind us of our camel adventure in israel.

spying.

it drives me crazy not to see and hear everything that is going on with jade while he is at school. i love to arrive a couple minutes early to pick him up and spy for a little bit. usually they go to the playground during the last half hour, so i don't get to see them, but this day they were practicing a little dance/song. it was so sweet watching him get all into it with his friends and teacher.
