Zoey day 2!

So Jaden followed Zoey around all day. He likes to hug and kiss her and give her toys, and really just be around her. He hugs her back like in this picture below and says "ZOE-Y!!!!" in the cutest voice you can imagine times 10. I will try to get a video of it tomorrow, it is seriously that cute!

Okay, so her ears. Everyone is asking about them.

Dobermans naturally have floppy ears, but traditionally they are cropped (cut)

and then they have to be taped for 6-9 months after so that they will stand up straight, and look awesome!! Don't her ears look so much better today though? Cam retaped them, and you'd think he was a pro! They are standing up tall, and she's gonna have some SEXY ears! ;)

So I look TOTALLY dorky in this video. I know.

But ya gotta give us props on how smart this puppy is!! She can already sit, and lay down!!

So Cam did most of the training. He's the awesome one. I was just the reinforcer!

All of these were taken while Sis was asleep. She is really starting to warm up and get brave around Zoey! She really likes the idea, but every time she gets close she gets a little nervous!!

Meet Zoey!!

We got ourselves a sweet sweet Doberman Pinscher puppy! Meet Zoey! Cam has been studying and planning and researching, and talking to breeders all over Texas for over a year now. He found a couple breeders where we could get a GREAT Doberman!! The only problem was they were all waiting lists. There were plenty of places where you could get a decent one, but we wanted a *perfect* one! We finally got a call saying we had made the list, and we would get Zoey!  She is a show quality puppy, both her parents were champions in the show ring! Not that we will probably show her, but she is the best, and we are SO lucky to have her! 

Cameron drove down to Fort Worth this afternoon after school and picked her up. I kept the kids up a little late so they could see her when Zoey got home. We have been talking about Zoey, and showing Jade pictures of Dobermans and tried to explain that we were getting her... but I don't think it ever quite clicked... right here... the moment Cam walked in the door holding Zoey, it CLICKED!

Kennedy is OBSESSED with puppies! It was a little overwhelming to have one come to her house and with all the excitement she was a little shy at first! (And she was up WAY past her bed time!) 

I love how he's holding her face and is SO into the kiss! His little 

eyes squinty! So sweet!

Sissy finally got her kiss in! She warmed right up, and was super excited about Zoey!

so far so good... she likes her toys, she ate her dinner and went potty outside!

She's sound asleep in her crate! Hopefully she won't get too sad tonight! 

We are so happy to have Zoey in our family!

Picture this: Hanging out at the pool with all his cute little girly friends, Jaden looks over and sees a cute OLDER chick laying out getting a tan. Jade slowly walks over to her, and past her, making sure she notices him. He slowly, and smoothly lays down in the chair in front of her. Trying not to look to obvious. He lays there for a minute, and then looks over at her, and gives her a little wave. She waves back.... "awesome!" he thinks, "she took the bait!" 

he walks over to her, and quietly tells her a sweet somethin. Looks over to his right, and notices a flower pot. Picks a flower and hands it over to his lady friend. She takes it. Awesome. 
SO excited. (see his excited jump in action here?) Mom drags him away. As soon as Mom starts talking to her friends again, he slowly walks back over to her. And proceeds to TOUCH HER BELLY BUTTON RING!!!!

seriously? Oh my word. At this point I just about died. My smooth little ladies man. Daddy couldn't be more proud. :)

I like to think I am a pretty fabulous dancer, so I taught Jade a few of my moves... hahaha, just kidding, he is a way better dancer than me! When I grow up I want to dance just like him!

MY SON IS SO COOL!

she likes pretty things.

I'm not sure what it is about her, but Kennedy really really REALLY likes pretty things. Most of all she likes her bows. She always wants to "play bows" she gets her thing of bows out and takes each one out looks at it, and then puts them at back in. She is VERY careful with them, and never bends or smushes them. Her new favorite thing to do is to have Daddy sit there and brush her hair, and then she'll bring the bows and have him put them ALL in her hair. So pretty Sissy!

my fav thing about our new house.

probably my fav thing about our new house would be my kitchen. The opening to get into it is just a little wider than the opening for a door. That might bother some people... but for me... it is a little bit of heaven. BECAUSE... in our old house Jade and Kk would run wild in the kitchen, getting into kitchen chemicals, playing in the dishwasher, getting out all my measuring spoons, and worst of all getting food & juice/milk anytime they wanted it. IT MADE ME CRAZY! So now, I just put the baby gate in that little opening and WA-LAAA! My kids can't make me crazy anymore! Okay, so they still make me crazy, but at least this is one last thing! Here they are... modeling the kitchen gate for me!

so i got this sprinkler at HEB, and it was seriously the funniest thing ever. It has like

crazy arms or something and the little sprinkler thingers were like flying everywhere 

squirting everyone in the eyes, we turned it down, and it was MUCH more fun

for them.

and then of course I have to give her one. In my defense I usually hold out longer, and she knows it. But when Daddy is around... that's a whole other story. She knows she's got him wrapped around her finger. She's for sure his little princess.

just as it starts to get to hot to go to the Zoo, they turn on the water for their spray park. It's awesome cuz you can go see some animals AND cool off. We've already been like 5 times. this day we went to the zoo, and thought we were going to stay dry. We did for a minute.

We even saw the turtle up real close.
