Summer fun in Amarillo! {Part 2-iPhone style}

here is a peak at our summer in Amarillo through the iPhone

Jade talked Sissy into wearing his old swimsuit one day... they thought it was so funny

Summer fun in Amarillo!

With limited options for fun in Amarillo, we decided to make our summer fun all by ourselves! So we made a "Summer Fun" bucket, and every morning the kids took turns picking something out of the jar. Then we also had two learning jars that they picked from every day, one for Sissy, with letters, and one for Jaden with words. And of course, some delicious summery jelly beans :)

most summer fun activities were accompanied with swimming in our little backyard pool, and playing in the yard. Sissy's favorite part was always hunting for lady bugs, which were almost always named "Lade"

one day we had a tea party for lunch

not a pick from the summer fun bucket, but still fun... we got to babysit a cute little baby girl from our ward. the kids thought it was so fun!

they were about done just as she was ready to take a nap, so we did a little painting

we made whole wheat flour peanut butter cookies! They were SOOO yum!

Obviously we always picked out of the jar in the morning before we did anything else, and so they still look sleepy & have jammies on!

popsicles & pool on a cold, Amarillo day in May...

we had been seriously desperate for summer. we bought a pool & some yummy creamsicles. on a day that was a little warmer we headed outside for a warm day of fun... nope, water came out cold as ice, the wind picked up to 40+ and we were FRIGID!! so glad my sweet kiddos can make anything fun, and we still had a blast :)

visit from grandma & grandpa berrett

grandma & grandpa berrett came to visit in May! we had a fun weekend together, and the kids loved having them here!!
