We started the week making dinosaur puzzles, we colored the dinosaurs then cut them in half...

Magically changed water blue with food coloring, and then practiced our pouring skills and poured the water into ice cube trays, and then froze them, for a later activity!

Played with our blue playdoh...

Jade is officially obsessed with seeing his name, and finding letters in it, so we made his name out of playdoh, and then I made the coolest dinosaur ever to be made out of playdoh...

Then we had a blue party!! We all dressed up in blue, but I totally spaced getting a pic of the whole fam. Blue was a HARD color to make a whole meal out of, so we had blue juice boxes, "blue" corn chips, blueberries, blue mashed potatoes, "blue" yogurt, and blue choco covered bananas (but the blue choco, was totally lumpy and ick) and then of course we used blue plates, and bowls! The kids both LOVE doing this, and it is fun to go to the store and look for blue foods together!

our ice cubes were frozen by the time we were done with dinner, so we took them outside, and plopped them into warm water and watched them melt, and turn the water blue, and really just splashed around and had fun!

oh, and we practiced picking them up with spoons

Then, after learning about dinosaurs all week, we went to Dinosaur World in Glenrose, TX. It was super awesome, and fun, and every dinosaur we found, Jade tried to tell us which one it was, some he was right, like T-Rex, Triceratops, and the Stegosaurus, but anything he didn't know he would run up to it and say "WOW! It's a SAURUS!!"

There were over 100 life sized dinosaurs, I'll probably do a separate post on this later, so I can add more pics!

I love this cute boy!

That evening we went out, and did another ice experiment. The dinos were all stuck in the ice!

We squirted hot water on it, to help get them out...

It was taking forever, so we just ended up putting the ice right into the hot water, and eventually we got the dinos out!!!! It was so exciting :)

We have been practicing writing letters a lot lately, specifically the first 4 letters, A, B, C, & D, and this is the first time he has totally got it! Check out all his awesome A's on this pic! I was SOOO proud of him!!! He's pretty good at tracing too!

The whole time Sissy colors, she is saying letters, trying to be just like Jade, acting like she is writing words too. It is so sweet! It looks like she even drew an A on this one, but it could have been an accident!

This was a SUPER fun week!!
