rain, rain, go away...

nope. it's not raining here. it's beautiful and sunny. but Jade seems to be a little confused about why we haven't been out and about park/zoo hopping, swimming, walking, playing with friends, or really anything fun. Today I was making dinner (just about the only thing I accomplished today) and I heard Jaden over by the window. he was having a little convo with himself, he said "do you want to go outside?" and then he said "NO! It's too cold!!" and starting singing, "Rain, rain, go away..." 

Poor kid, he's trying to figure out, why he feels so crappy, and why I would make it worse by not letting him do all his fun things. I hope this sickness is nearing an end. It's really taking it all out of me this time.

word of the day.

so this will be a slow section of my blog I am sure. but i am starting a "word of the day" for Kennedy! YAY! 

"Bye!!"

We went to Walmart today to get Jade's medicine, and after we were done checking out, the checker lady said Bye! and out of nowhere Kennedy said "Bye!" and started waving!! Yay sis!! I can't believe she is starting to say words!!

"ALL DONE!!!"

Jaden has been sick the past couple days. He has had a constant fever since Thursday, and been truly miserable. Yesterday Cam and I got it as well. We are all feeling pretty yucky. Since Jade has been sick I hear him shout out "ALL DONE" quite often during the day, and in his bed at night probably 6 or 7 times. He is all done being sick. He wants it to go away. And so do I! 

Today was a rough day. I took him to the doctor... with Kennedy (cam was at school). the second we walked into the room they both started screaming. wow. it was brutal. they tested him for flu and ear infections. thank heavens he tested negative on flu, but both ears are infected. they prescribed us the antibiotics for his ears, and some cough medicine for his nasty cough. I hope he gets feeling better soon, so that he really will be "all done!"

my sweet sweet babies. i love every moment i have with them. sometimes i find myself wishing these crazy years away. and then i remember how amazing they are... i wouldn't trade this time for anything in the world.
we were driving the other day and Kennedy was crying (which she does often... she's not a big fan of being in the car) and all of a sudden she stopped. I looked back to see if she had fallen asleep, or what... and I saw them holding hands. Jaden is so sweet to make his sister happy!!

Jade came home from Nursery last week, so proud of his picture that he colored. He was parading around the house with it, and Cam told him to go put it ON the fridge. He got super excited, and ran to the fridge. Later that night when I went to make dinner I found his picture... IN the fridge. Funny boy.

JuMpINg PaRTy!!!!

This is seriously our new favorite place!! We went for Cali's "nonbirthday-party" it was so fun! We went back again this week and asked if they had a season pass... nope!! Too bad! We will be there lots though!! It was so awesome for Jaden, so safe (its all bouncy!), and no doors for him to become obsessed with! What more could I ask for?

Took the kids to the zoo.. again. whats new. but apparently some kids were on spring break (we didn't know) and it was SO busy! We had fun as always! And love hanging out with our friends!

"Are you okay birds? Be careful!!"

We were sitting in the kitchen eating breakfast the other day, and I noticed a couple birds sitting on the fence. I pointed them out to the kids, and Jaden became very concerned! He yelled, "Are you okay birds? Be careful!!" He was so worried they might fall off the fence! He kills me!

Texas in March!

Let's just say we are LOVING Texas in March! We have been having the NICEST weather!! I took the kids to the pool with some friends again, and they were loving it! We brought Kennedy and floaty she just kicked it in there for a while floating around. I would have too if it fit me!

His cars are probably his most favorite toys! He lines them up everywhere!
He will seriously do anything to get a laugh. He LOVES when we think he is funny! This completely took me off guard, and I was dying laughing! He kept saying "Pretty Silly Hat!!"

Daddy is definitely one of his favorite things! This is the fun game they played over, and over and over and over again this week until the balloon finally "accidently" popped!

And this is one of my favorite things. A smile from my sweet boy. 

We are so blessed to have him!
