Kennedy's 3rd Birthday!

We had a very special Rapunzel & Princess birthday party for Sissy on her birthday. She woke up to the room all decorated.
and ate her special birthday breakfast, and got lots of pretty new necklaces to wear
we had planned on opening her presents later in the day... but she just couldn't wait that long, so we did it that morning.
She was so excited when she walked out and saw all of her presents, Jade was equally excited for her. I love his expression on the side.
she was giddy with every present she opened... especially her favorite things in the whole world, tiny little TY puppies.

kinda bored with it all... getting a little sleepy :)

i planned to do a little photo shoot with her for her 3rd birthday... but it was FREEZING... we got this okay shot, and shortly after she burst into tears. Not worth making the birthday girl cry, so we quickly headed home.
and had some of her special birthday cake...
she picked it, but this was the first time she had seen it in real life...
my cute babes with their birthday hats
it was such a yummy cake!
me & my birthday babe
of course jaden was playing angry birds
we got a knock on our door, and it was a special birthday package for Sissy from Grandma & Grandpa Berrett. It was very exciting!!
Grandma didn't want Jaden to feel left out, so he got a package too!!
I'd say I can't believe she is three, but honestly she seems like such a big girl to me, that I feel like she could be older than three. We love our baby Sissy, and are so grateful she is part of our family!!

Happy Birthday baby girl!!

sissy's school birthday celebration!

Kennedy had a very special birthday celebration at school the week of her birthday!
She picked Rapunzel cupcakes, and couldn't wait to eat them.
When I got to the school with the cupcakes, they were still having nap time. I snuck over and grabbed a couple quick pictures of her sweetly sleeping.
Miss Amanda & Miss Shanna woke her and all of her friends up, and handed out the cupcakes. They were all still pretty out of it. And had sleepy hair. It was cute.
we sang happy birthday to her...
and she dug right in :)

Love my baby girl. She felt so special, it was sweet :)

Fiumicino, Italy

We spent one night in Fiumicino, a tiny port town on the coast of Italy.
We walked out to the coast
it was so super windy
but still so pretty
we watched all the fisherman bring their boats in and sell their fresh catch, and all the local italians came and lined up to get the freshest fish of the day.
we walked further out, the water was just glistening! It was so pretty.
horribly lit self timer pic, still kinda like it :)

this little town has our hearts, we didn't really even know what we were going to see when we got there, but we were so pleasantly surprised! We had a super early flight the next morning, and wanted to eat dinner early, but all of the cute restaurants like this next picture, weren't open yet (it was like 6pm, they eat dinner super late)
so we wandered more and found a tiny little pizzeria. I'm not sure why I didn't take any pictures, because it was so quaint and cute. We walked in, and no one there spoke a word of English, somehow we got through the ordering process, not 100% sure what we had ordered, and ended up with the most delish pizza I have ever tasted.
___________

This is the end of my Europe posts. It was such a wonderful trip, we were so sad to leave, but at the same time, so excited to get home and smother our babes with kisses and hugs.

I love my sweet husband, and I'm so grateful for times like these that we have to celebrate our love, and just for a week, not be mom or photographer, or dad or lawyer... but just Cameron and Nicole... husband & wife. It was perfect.

I wish we had more pictures from the week that the kids had with my Mom & Kenz. They are seriously the best in the whole world. They had a crazy week (of course), and were total super grandma & auntie. They spoiled the kids like crazy, with love, treats, playing, projects, discovery center, parks, picnics, Ihop, mcdonalds, movie theater & popcorn, library, and so many more things. Mom & Kenz, thank you for making it so easy for us to leave our kids. We love you both and appreciate all that you do for us more than you'll ever know. The kids are wishing you guys were here to play with, and make every minute exciting!! We love you!!

Rome, Italy {Part 5} Gelato & Villa Borghese

I love every ounce of this city. Just walking up and down these tiny streets was so romantic, and pictures like this bring it all back so quick. We spent our last day shopping a getting some souvenirs.
and I finally got some gelato!!
The last thing we did before we left town was Villa Borghese. It is a huge park, and used to be a private residence, and is now a open to the public. It was an incredibly relaxing walk, so quiet and away from the rest of the city.

view of Rome
on our way out... it was a sad, sad feeling. Rome was a magnificent city, and now holds so many special memories for us. the final street shot...

Rome, Italy {Part 4} The Colosseum & Ancient Rome

The Colosseum was so real. I know how weird that sounds, but as you were walking up to it, and around it, you could just imagine all of the events of ancient Rome.
We loved that you can see the old "underground" part of it, where the fighters & animals would have been.
