Port Aransas

So we kept hearing about how amazing Port Aransas was. Or "Port A" as the locals call it. So we had to go check it out for ourselves. It was amazing! Cute little beach town, with the most adorable cafes and shops. I loved it so much I swore I'd come back with my big camera and just take pictures of the cuteness. (oops definitely ran out of time for that) Anyway, the only way to get to Port A is on a little ferry, the kids could not believe we had our car on a boat!
Apparently sometimes you can see dolphins swimming along side of the ferry, but we weren't lucky enough to see any!
We arrived at Port A, and what the heck? There was SO MUCH seaweed, I guess the locals just get used to it, so they forgot to even mention it, but during a couple months during the summer because of the way the current goes, the beach is covered in seaweed. Weird. It was too bad because the sand was SO beautiful and white, but we couldn't get over the nasty seaweed, so we played for a little bit, and then packed up, and headed over to Corpus Christi beach instead...

It was MUCH better. The seaweed doesn't hit CC beach, so we enjoyed our afternoon at the beach.
Sissy found a new obsession: SEA SHELLS!! She LOVES sea shells, and spent the whole day collecting them!

I put my camera away (something that is sometimes hard for me to do) and we spent the rest of the day playing in the sand, splashing in the water, and jumping the waves. It was perfect.
